yes, they are the same - be careful when getting D15B - there are 3 versions - the normal VTEC, a 3 stage VTEC and an economy version which is only about 90hp

the 3-stage VTEC has 2 VTEC solenoids, doesn't say VTEC on valve cover - the VTEC-E (economy) has smaller intake, doesn't say VTEC on the valve cover

I have a boosted d15b jdm vtec. They are alot of fun. you never gonna get power out of them like say a b motor. but if your goal is 200hp then it will be fine.

Lest compression would be the NON VTEC heads.
The JDM D15B SOHC VTEC has stonger and longer rods than a standard USDM D15
same length as D16 rods, BUT THE D16 and D15 RODS DO NOT INTERCHANGE!!!
Think of the D15B SOHC VTEC as a USDM D15 prepped for higher revs.

does anybody know the name of this kinda vtec...it activates by oil pressure ( read from some web ) so would d15b2 block be better with that vtec since its got 24 extra psi for oil pressure???

i dont see why your worried about the difference in oil pressure. All vtec motors engage the bigger lobes using oil pressure. (B,D,H,F,K series)
