My car is supposed to be a VTEC model but on the engine it just says honda. I have seen engines in other cars on the net that say VTEC and are in EX's? Mine is still VTEC right.

yea its still VTEC. I dont remember which years, but some dont say VTEC.

Y8 valve covers just say Honda, but they are still VTEC.

92-93 ex/si didn't have vtec on the valve cover.

94-95 ex/si for the vtec valve cover, check behind the back left of the valve cover.

The little round metal thing is your vtec solenoid, it's got 2 plugs coming off it, one grey and one green, that's where the magic happens.

Speaking of this, the other day i was talking to someguy that drove an 11 second rx7 and he told me he sold used cars. He said he had 2 ex's on his lot and neither had vtec motors, and that the vtec motors were "ultra rare". I then proceded to school him hard, I know he went and searched for the solenoids afterwards, i know he did.
