I also see your VTEC solenoid. Not sure why you think it's non-VTEC. The VTEC solenoid is under that little hose on the passenger rear (from the perspective of standing in front of the car, the far left) corner of your valve cover. It's a little bronzish cylinder.
Is the reason you think it doesn't have VTEC because the valve cover doesn't say VTEC, you don't think you can feel VTEC or because you have a check engine light (CEL)?

my buddy had a vtec motor and no vtec haha but for some very odd reason the previouse owner switched out the ecu for the non vtec so check that out too!
