YES!!! FINALLY!!! I'm back to the dark side
took me all day and night last night with my buddies drinking beer till 2:30 in the morning to finally get my car running!! installation of the turbo was a since but finding out there were leaks all over the place from the downpipe wasn't(No Thanks to Paul_Vang $150 down the drain!!). So my buddies and myself had spent all night cutting the downpipe and welding different piping and flanges on and grinding down the all ready welded parts and rewelding them. after we were done(it was storming yesterday like a ****!) we took it for a spin and damn...it feels sooooo good to be fast again. even with only 4 psi my car felt like it was flying!! only thing now is to find my manual boost controller and turn it up to 10!! Just wanted to THANK all the H-T members for helping me through those difficult situations and helping me make the right choices!! my setup at the moment is:
99 B18B1
Ghetto Home ported exhaust/intake ports
Ross Pistons 9.5:1 .02 over
Eagle Rods
ACL bearings
STR block guard welded 1/2" from deck(and no there is no overheating!!)
balanced and knife edged crank
Turbo
T3/T04E .57 trim wet floating ball bearings .63/.60
MPRacing equal length manifold
custom piping/Downpipe
Greddy Type-S BOV
DSM 450 injectors
Tial Wastegate
Huge intercooler(my buddies tell me it's off a truck! lol)
UberTeg's Chip w/2 stage launch
S-AFC for tuning
misc. AutoMeter/Greddy gauges
B&M FPR
Idles like a normal car and boost engagement is like an angel. going to turn up the boost today even though it's raining and tune it with my butt!! again, thanks to all of you H-T folks who helped me get back on my feet!!

it's in a 94 SI...and as for the dp it was kinda frustrating. because my turbine side is on the passenger side instead of the driver side. we had to cut away some of the tranny inorder to get a 2.5" downpipe to fit nicely. all we did was bolt the flange on to the turbo(which is bolted to the manifold/engine already), and spot welded the pipe when we had a desired position. and we went from there just adding sections of the downpipe as we went along. I think we used a 90, 45, 90 and a straight pipe with the exhaust flange already attached to it. good luck man!!

sherman, i'll be looking for you when i'm back in town.. hehe.. just got my gsr installed this weekend, but i'm having problems fixing the irradic idle.. cant seem to figure it out.. once i got it fixed, i'll be getting my new turbo and have it tuned as well.. hopefully i'll be up and running again by mid-late june.. i gave my LS turbo setup to my bro who will certainly enjoy it... man i miss boost now ehehe...
oh btw, we just spent today installing a custom turbo kit on my nephew's car.. had to swap out his dinky dx motor and put in my bro's ex motor.. 6-7 hrs later, we finished it, but couldn't enjoy it much because it started to rain and the charge pipes kept blowing off.. we just wanted to get it started and running, so we'll get all the kinks figured out during the week..
happy boosting sherman..

sweet bro! yeah, i'm happy i'm finally boosted now but it seems like most people, my car is smoking when in WOT. it's cool though cause it doesn't even have a cat...only a resonator in it's place. Yeah, I'm hoping to see you soon! It seems as though there are lots of turbo'd honda's now running around loose. most of them just bolt on turbos running FMUs. Man, I wish I could swap my built LS for a GS-R motor. But that's just more headaches for myself because this is my only car.
well, hope you'll be able to make it here in July as well for the HONDA sponsered track day in RockFalls, WI. which the exact date is July 12th. till then, peace!!

i've got your number so you'll hear from me certainly when i'm in town... btw, how much is it to run at RF on that honda sponsored day?? too bad you cant make it here for our events.. it only costs $15 to run as opposed to rf's usual $35... hopefully when i get the darn motor running right, i'm gonna get it tuned w/ my new turbo i haven't bought yet.. its gonna be a t3t4 60 /.63 ar

where did you buy it from?? man a BB turbo and already shot?? i"d be pissed as hell.. are you sure you have your oil system done correctly?? when i originally had mine set up, I had some smoking issues too, but I kept on playing with the oil return line and eventually i got the darn thing to not smoke anymore... It was a great feeling knowing that oil was now not seeping pass the exhaust seals anymore..
did you prime your turbo b4 you put it in?? and I take it you're getting a new one for free as a replacement or are you stuck buying another one??
