Default Hallman Boost Controller Technical Support please

I have an externally gated turbo. It has been on the EP for about 10 months with the Hallman BC at 0, fully closed running 7.5psi off the wastegate.... well iv been tuning and now want to raise the boost... i double checked my lines and they are fine. i first turned the mbc a half turn, nothing more, than a full turn, nothing more... is it possible that a full turn does not increase boost?
i tried calling hallman, but they didnt answer

thanks

yes thats normal....your going to keep turning and turning and nothing is going to happen. eventually you are going to get to the "spot" where it actually starts working.

totally normal with MBC's.

hope this helps

as said above... when I had a hallman, it took a couple turns before it started raising the boost.

just make a 1/4- 1/2 turn at a time with it until you see the boost go up, then makes small adjustments till your good.

The Hallman MBC is an entry level boost controller I would suggest upgrading for a little more control.

if you have the softer spring in there, it will take a turn or 2 to see a psi increase. i think i turn mine 5 times to see about 4 psi increase

As stated before, it does take a few turns before you see a difference in boost.

it took 5+ turns before i saw any increase in pressure, then about 1.5 turns for 1psi increase

I had the pro with the ceramic ball and light spring... it was the same as you describe. Worked great when I was only running lower boost numbers but slightly more than my wastegate spring.

Hallman is a KICK *** MBC... The best out there IMO (as well as ALOT of others). Held a ROCK solid 25 psi for me (on a 10 pound spring-44mm Tial), and got me to over 600whp... NOTHING wrong with it at all... In fact im selling it as I found an AVCR new for 250, but thats the ONLY reason

With the light spring in it, it may take about three cranks to register any change, after that each turn is JUST about 1 psi per turn. With the heavy spring (once its registering), 1 crank = about 2-3 psi, so if you are using the heavy (dark colored and not silver) spring be a bit more carefull with that one...

Peace.
