ARP HEAD STUDS ON A D16
HAVING SOME DIFFICULTIES WITH THESE ARP HEAD STUDS I JUST INSTALLED ON MY D16Z6 I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THE STUDS ARE NOT SITTING FLUSH DO I CONTINUE TO THREAD THEM ON. OR DO I STOP ONE I START FEELING RESISTENCE? DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF SOME SIT TALLER THEN THE OTHERS
AM NOT THAT FAR YET I BERELY INSTALLED THEM ONTO THE BLOCK HAND TIGHT BUT I NOTICED THAT SOME STUDS SIT HIGHER THAN OTHERS DUE I KEEP THREADING THEM ONTO THE BLOCK TO MAKE THEM ALL LEVEL?
lol i think they should all sit level, but the more i thread them in the harder it gets i am not tryng to break anything just being carefull with the block.
yup first time installing ARP studs. i just need to know if its ok to have one or two studs sit higher than the rest. or if i should back off on some to make them sit flush with the other studs. it seems like the studs on the exhaust side sit higher than the studs on the intake side.

You dont want to loosen them just so they sit level with one another. They are supposed to be torqued down. As long as the shorter ones have plenty of threads to be threaded with (which of corse they will be) and the longer ones dont hit anything, then your fine.
They dont always sit perfect. Just torque those ******* down....

are you absolutely sure that the threads are clean? did you run a tap in them before installing? I have never installed them but that is the first precautions I would take.
