Your suppose to torque them down in a sequence order. And in different ft/lb intervals. Are you even doing that?

What do you think?

Hand tight doesnt equal 20 ft/lbs...then 40...then 60. They may not all sit level to begin with doing it by hand.

yup first time installing ARP studs. i just need to know if its ok to have one or two studs sit higher than the rest. or if i should back off on some to make them sit flush with the other studs. it seems like the studs on the exhaust side sit higher than the studs on the intake side.

You dont want to loosen them just so they sit level with one another. They are supposed to be torqued down. As long as the shorter ones have plenty of threads to be threaded with (which of corse they will be) and the longer ones dont hit anything, then your fine.

They dont always sit perfect. Just torque those ******* down....

are you absolutely sure that the threads are clean? did you run a tap in them before installing? I have never installed them but that is the first precautions I would take.
