Default wastegate questions

i got a turbonetics evolution wastegete, got from e-bay used i was woundering if the gap around the valve seat normal or is there somthing wrong, is there some kind of gasket to seal it? looks like it will leak.


also can anyone tell me what psi this spring is

did some research and alot o people say the turbonetics don't need one. does someone know for sure.

I'm not the smartest person, but I know that SOMETHING needs to fill that gap. Typically there is a ring that sits there to create the seal (made of metal). If you try to put that on your car now, it's just going to be a new route for the exhaust.

You need the fire ring... Im sure you can contact someone... Who ever said you can use it with out a firering is dumb and dosent have a turbo car

been lookin and cant seem to find one for mine i wounder if i can use the tial? any one know who i can contact, tried turbonetics but they were already closed.

I had an older turbonetics at one time and there was an adjustment for that valve take it apart and check .

Yeah I can adjust the valve down there is still a gap all around it maybe the fire ring gasket will fill it I gotta get one to see

im runnin the evolution right now nd im using a fire ring. works great. no leaks. dnt kno wat spring u got there tho :/

ya it came wit it when i bought it. u might b able to use the tial one if its the same mm diameter

UPDATE!! I think i found it summit racing or jegs has a turbonetics valve seat, i hope it works, 13.99 i have to wait for it to get here to see.

got it today it fits!! was tight but i used a rubber mallet to tap it in, the valve still moves up and down cool deal



it was part number 20763, valve seat, got the invoice came from turbonetics if anyone needs to know, made for the evolution eastegate. it was like 17 bucks or so with shipping
