blow off valve BLOWING ME OFF!...always sounds like its venting
argh.
drag gen 3 kit on a gsr
blitz super sound BOV
under slight acceleration my blow off valve seems to be venting the air. I tried adjusting the hex screw clockwise and counter clockwise....nothing.
is the plate stuck or something?
ALSO...did I put on the Vortech FMU wrong? which one goes to the OEM FPR and which one goes to the return line? IT seems as if I have a little problem around 5000 rpm's, the fuel disappears...this has to be on backwards huh..
any input is appreciated....
thanks

Thanks...I just checked the FMU, everything is well. All the vacuum lines are correct...
on the top of my TiAL wastegate, do I leave that open or pulg it with something? Im using the fitting on the side for the vacuum from the intake manifold.
argh...annoying annoying

why does the blowoff valve always make that noise! my car is mad at me for being up on a lift for a few days
(
argh im sure theres a simple solution but I cant think of it.
What else would be making my car die around 4500 or 5000 rmps?
thanks ill be sitting here checking

my bov makes a noise everytime i shift even if i'm not in positive vaccume... and as far as dieing.. it's prolly running really rich.
One way to check is to park on a hill facing up... let the car drift backwards, rev up to 8,000 rpms' and after you get rolling pretty good. drop the clutch.....
j/k... dont do that.

its like a definate fuel-cutoff feeling. would running rinch really have that effect? my AF gauge doesnt really read too rich, and my fuel pressure is around 46 (which isnt too good is it?)
i got a check engine light, ill go put a jumper on it and see if i can figure out what code it is..
when i first started it, it ran beautifully for first gear then i got a damn CEL and thats when the whole thing started.

no no the blowoff valve ALWAYS is venting. its a constant whooooosh. my boost gauge doesnt climb into boost at ALLLL and theres no blowoff in between shifting.
thanks
thanks
if the wastegate was stuck open, exhaust would be coming out of it at idle or low rpsm's right? well there is nothing coming off of it, the dumb tube is not even hot.
i dont think it has anything to do with the wastegate itself, the tials are really nice.... especially if you bought it new. only thing i can say is check your vacuum lines over again...
maybe try taking off the blow off valve and boosting, see if it gets to full boost, if it does, it's your BOV...

yeh...all the lines are solid, no leaks.
i would try sealing off the BOV but i have a mild fuel leak coming my fuel line from the filter to the inline pump.
after I fix that, how would I go about sealing the BOV hole?
thanks a lot, i really appreciate it

the fuel leak is probably the cause of some of your hesitation
to seal blow off valve... take it off and seal it up with a metal plate or something. before doing that tho i would make sure it's not something else
