Default BOV not actuating.

Just picked up a hatchback that has a b20 turbo setup and the BOV isn't releasing boost pressure causing the turbo to.surge. I've replaced the vac line from the T to the BOV not sure what else I could try to fix the issue any input is appreciated

Where do you have the pressure line plumbed in? mind posting up a picture?

No need to make 2 threads......

Take the bov off and make sure it isn't seized. Also, if it is adjustable, loosen it up.

the tee is your issue, that small line can't supply enough vacuum to run the fpr, wastegate, and bov.

the wastegate needs it's own line, as does the blow off valve. the fpr has relatively low vacuum needs, the wastegate needs the strongest signal so it can operate correctly, same with the bov

I don't see the bov line connected to the T, it looks to me like the bov line is connected directly to the intake mani. even if it was connected to the T, as long as there's no leaks it should still open perfectly fine. might hesitate a little, but would still open just fine.

my guess is a bad BOV, or a vacuum leak in the line.

P.S. you should never T anything into the line going to the FPR, it will cause inconsistent fuel pressures when manifold pressure is changing, which is basically all the time.

This is probably your problem, the T does make a difference. Run a direct line and see if it fixes it. If not you may have a problem with the bov
