gt35 water lines
you don't NEED to. but definitely get some hooked up sooner or later your turbo will love you back. and also i found out that my gt28 has a built in restrictor and i believe all of the GT series does so no need for a restrictor. i can post a pic of the inlet nipple if you guys would like.
For the GT35R, YES, run the water lines. On the ball-bearing systems, there is still a lot of friction in the CHRA and the water lines dissapate that additional heat, allowing oil to perform its main purpose; lubrication.
The correct restrictor is .035" to use with this turbo. Yes, you must run this additional restrictor with your turbocharger.

not trying to flame here,just inform. If you search you will find many pics and ideas for the water lines. There are several different ways to do it, some easier than others, but all serve the same purpose...
i just searched myself earlier and found some interesting kit setups. bump for water cooling
yes some people have done that. you could could install a fitting in the drain bolt hole to avoid welding if you wanted.
