Turbo b18b Smoking at idle, sometimes! NEED HELP!
So I turbo'd my ls I love everything about it except the occasionally smoke!
I have an issue with lots of smoke occasionally, but only at idle. Before the turbo was put on the motor did not smoke one bit.
Here's the setup;
Garrett t3 42. 48
4an feed 10an return
I don't have an oil restrictor in the line, should I?
Turbo does not have any shaft play, just rebuilt! smoke is coming from the turbo and exhaust. Thick with a blueish tint that takes a bit to dissappear.
Nothing was done to the pcv system and the breather on the valve cover is left open.
Any help?

try running a -3an feed line and using this -3an restrictor: http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=ATP-OIL1
And also some thicker oil like 10w40... And also unhooking your pcv valve line and venting it out to the atmosphere to get rid of blow by..
If all that doesn't reduce your smoking, its gotta be your turbo.. But I would try all that stuff before pulling your turbo...

yeha..mine is smoking at idle too.
my pcv hose on the valve cover is open and was spraying oil everywhere. i got a cheap brether filter for the time being while i get a catchcan of somesort.
there is also a little bit of oil on the pcv valve itself that keeps appearing on b16. are you saying to take off that pcv valve on the b16 which is on the intake manifold runners?
