1. Complete a compression test to ensure it's not a motor issue.
2. Make sure your return line isn't getting backed up due to improper positioning etc.
3. Look at the turbo inlet for signs of oil leaks...
4. Assume your turbo seals are on the way out...

Even if compression tests shows a cylinder with a percentage of difference I still wouldnt count out that turbo. I made the mistake of assuming I had a bad piston ring when one of my cylinders showed 30psi difference than the rest. pulled the motor took it apart and turned out to be a mistake by the previous builder, but the real problem was the turbo. Same problems your having.

To count the turbo out just unbolt it let it idle see if it smokes...

alright guys thanks for the input im putting a b20 in anyway but there seems to be sign of oil in the intercooler so i think the turbo seals are gone because the motor still spools !

I just recently had to replace my t3/t4 because the seals were bad...when I took the downpipe off it was full of oil where the flang bolts to the turbo. It smoked like a freight train, then I installed my 60-1 and not a bit of smoke.

try running some 10w40 oil and running an oil restrictor and report back if it still smokes.. Try that before you take the turbo off...
