hey guys buddy had a turbo kit put on his car , but not building any boost wastegast is hooked up right , any ideas?

 

does the car have a catalytic converter on it? If so is it old and clogged? is there a clogg in the charge pipe? is the turbo seized?

 

vacuum lines all hooked up?

 

vac lines wont cause it to NOT build boost, that would cause to much boost

 

Its straight down pipe. I will check for the clog in the charge pipe, is there anything else you think it could be?

 

open DP and it wont build boost? WG stuck open or no spring in it? boost leak PRE turbo

 

Kinda had the same deal when I first got my set up together, turned out my tial 38mm had a 3psi spring in it.

 

make sure the turbo is spooling(can you hear it spool when you drive?) check for leaks in the charge pipes, make sure the bov isnt stuck in hte open position, and like mentioned above check the spring rating on the wastegate.

 

Are you revving at a standstill, or are you driving the car while trying to build boost?
