Default not holding boost.

This is my problem.the wastegate doesn't hold boost at all.I'ts a 38mm deltagate{brand new} with a 9pound spring on a ssautochrome{i know, but thats what i got for now } manifold. Do you guys think that the angle of the wastegate on the mani. can be the problem. Thanks for the help

Get more detail on your setup. But when i first got turbo on my teg it didnt' hold boost so i tought it was wastegate, well it turned out i had leak on my charge pipe. So make sure you go through the charge pipes and see if you got any leaks there.

sorry about that.b20vtec with hondata,t3/t4 turbo and like i said deltagate wastegate. Also a-pexi avcr.Get boost not a problem just can't get it to hold just keeps on riseing. At first i thought it was the avcr but removed it and it didn't solve the prob. Also no leaks in the pipes thats why i was thinking that it might be the angle of the wastegate on the manifold not allowing exhaust gas to reach the wastegate setup
b20 vtec
9:1 comp.
b16 head port and polished with 70mmt/b
darton sleeves
rc550cc
hondata s200
t3/t4 50ar comp 63 exhaust stage 3 wheel

Sounds like a combination of the wastegate location and the wastegate. From what i hear, the deltagates are notorious for boost creep.

it's not really boost creep it just doesn't stop it would go until the turbo would let. I let it go around 15psi

well if you keep letting go around 15psi, expect your motor to let go..very soon. Stop at 5lbs, dont just keep on looking at it rising. As far as your problem, deltagates + the combination of a horrible wastegate location could be part of your problem. I would dissasemble the deltagate to see if its working correctly.

what is bad wastegate positioning? we're having a similar prob on a friends car(not a Honda), the wastgate is at a a 45* angle facing down...would that be a problem??

ive seen alot of manifolds with terrible wastegate placement. I doubt its the placement. I would try switching wastegates and see if the problem goes away.

also do you have the wastegate hooked up right? Take some pictures for us.
