Pan is leaking through the weld. Is there a way to fix it without droppin the pan?

 

How is it welded? Put some JB weld on and let it sit overnight.

 

put car on jack stands, spray oil pan with brake cleaner. wipe down ...... check oil return, if using rubber hose check for cracks, check clamp you are using, be sure placement is as close to your oil pan itself as possible.. Go to parts store and purchase JB weld if you have time to let it cure overnight, otherwise I used 2 hr steel epoxy .. cover all pin holes, apply evenly, and let cure.....

it takes like 20 minutes to pull an oil pan off a honda. Why not fix it right?

 

gaskets... oil... pans are a pain to get on and off period. as is removing the support beam on Accords.

why not spend 4 bucks on jb weld and mud it up? i broke 2 of my aluminum 90's that go to my pan when i was doing my return line... theyre a 1inch fitting, and when youve got a 1 foot wrench its easy to break them. i ended up over tightening the 3rd one a tiny bit, i was so scared of a possible stress crack after i drove it that i ended up mudding up a perfectly good aluminum 90 just to be safe.

 

I was hoping I could use some epoxy or JB weld, thanks for the input guys.
