Default tapped oil pan question

my buddy gave me a tapped oil pan for my turbo d16 setup, my old one was pretty beat up
i've read a million times that the fitting is suppose to be as high up the oil pan as possible and it's suppose to stay clear of the baffle
the fitting sits exactly 2 inches from the top of the oil pan, just barely below the baffle(the fittings not visible from inside the pan)
i mocked up the oil pan and checked the dipstick and the fitting sits just barely above the full oil line
is this okay?
or am i gonna have draining problems?

You should be fine, as long as the fitting clears the inside of the pan and you have no kinks in the return line you should be fine

I did my last one over to the left of my baffle closer to the transmission. Worked just fine. Most people go between the baffle and sealing surface.
