What can i weld up to the oil pan as a nipple for the oil return?
I'm in the process of making a new oil pan, what can i weld up to the oil pan as a nipple? I'm sick and tired of the slow oil leak.
What I have done so far is grid a away all the nubs on top of the oil pan so I dont have to use that stickin honda gasket. Now I just need to figure out what I can weld up for that nipple, I would like to get it locally it possible.

Re: What can i weld up to the oil pan as a nipple for the oil return? (Sinner)
wish i had a pic of what i used. local hardware store had it. After drilling and tapping the oil pan to the appropriate thread i screwed in this metal piece that had the threads on one end and the nipple on the other end. I made sure to get the nipple a little larger than necessary. force the oil return line all the way down the nipple and then put a small clamp on it and clamp it tight. (and weld the thread to the pan of course). the piece i used was around $1 i think.

Just get a 10 AN Adapter and weld it on there. Or there are several places that carry the actual weld on nipple. I even remember seeing one that required no welding at all just the drilling of three holes.
