i searched and found topics about vafc hack vs hondata...but can't find anything about vafc hack vs the regular fmu/missing link setup that comes with the regular kits. I figure fmu is about 80 bucks, the missing link 70 or 80 bucks...another hundred bucks and i can just get the vafc. Is this the better route? All I need is something for 7psi on the street until i can afford the hondata 2b around christmas time. What do you guys think?

 

VAFC hack, the fmu w/ missing link combo compared to VAFC...is night and day....hell it if was a $400 it would be worth it....vafc all the way...and i'm sure most others running the vafc hack would agree.

if you are going to spend the money for the vafc you might as well get the greddy e-manage. that way you can go up to 3bar and control your timing as well

 

i'm not familiar with the e-manage at all...i'll have to look into that

 

what actually makes it so much better? can you feel the difference?

 

just keep on saving for the hondata.

I heard from liam and others who use it that the vafc hack (if ur referring to the vafc/450cc/fuel pump method) has a better vaccum to boost transition and it runs smoother

 

vafc hack big time. The part throttle response in much smoother and the "tunability" is far better.

does the vafc show your a/f ratio on it?

 

nah, only shows readouts on map sensor (pressure), throttle position in %, umm correction in %, and rpm.

 

Kind of off the topic, but what is the highest psi someone is running with the hack on a DOHC motor. I was just wondering if anyone was actually running 10psi with the hack or higher.
