Default v-afc precautions?

I've read up a lot on this and I talked to my friend in a shop and he was telling me that even with the hack to keep the fmu in case anything were to fail. Like as a fail safe.

It doesn't really make sense to me because the injectors are huge and you're leaning it out with the v-afc so if anything failed the car would just go super rich and throw a c.e.l. Am i correct in thinking that?

He was also saying that since i'm automatic and it fails i won't be able to control the car like a manual which I understand. But anyways, what do you guys think? Cause I wanted to sell my fmu and missing link for some extra flow.

No. just run the vafc hack, and don't listen to a thing your friend says.

loose the fmu and missing link and just get the aem fpr. The hack wont work correctly with the fmu and missing link.
