so i have lose the blockguard??
i think the blockguard on my ls/vtec is giving me overheating problems do i have to take it out or is there something else i can do about it

Block guards do cause hotspots inside your motor whgich will cuse overheating. I have one and let me gess your car will run at normal temp and than rise supratically and than will drop back down ?
What brand block gaurd and how hot are you getting? With me golden eagle block gaurd i think the hottest I ever got today was 212 on a 91+ degree day.On Normal 80-85 degree days i stay around 196 degrees.
i dont have an aftermarket gauge jet but it gets almost to the red if i push it a little, i have a del sol dual core radiator but im looking into geting a aluminum one to see if that does it

Majority of cylinder-destroying force is exerted on the middle of the cylinders, not the top - so I vote them pointless as well! I'd take it out...
