JG Block and heat issues

JG Block and heat issues
I have a JG pro series bored and close decked 2.0 ls short block. I have had serious heat issues ( although I live in hot as hell Tucson ). I have never had a problem before until I went to the LsVtec conversion. I also have a JRSC.
The problem is I am loosing coolant, and I am constantly replacing it. I have replaced the radiator, checked all the hoses, replaced the radiator cap, am currently running the fan all the time, and changed the thermostat.
Does this deck block have heating problems. The only thing I have not replaced is the water pump because it is a little expensive. Please HELP!?

I looked at it when I got it months ago and it was identical to every other block Javier built. I have had to change the coolant many time so dont think their is an air pocket, but just for insurance, how do I get rid of air pockets?

that was my first assumption. You said there were no heat issues until the ls/vtec which would entail you taking the head off... did you check the headgasket then?
good luck with figuring out the problem

that is a common issue on daily driven car sand closed deck designs. even if ti's a block guard or a sleeved unit, honda motors were enver ment to be closed deck. they don't flow coolant peoperly and the top 1" or so if the chamber where it gets the hottest and that's where the least cooling gets top when you clsoe it off. so by nature your going to have issues if you clsoe it off. The only thing you might be able to do is get with the guys you got your block from and make them deal with it. after all you payed for a motor to run a certain way, and if it will ont no mater what you do, they need to fix it.
final note on the issue, how is your tunning? improper tunning meanign runnign way to lean can cause the same issue. have it checked. t is recommend you have your car retunned and checked every 3 months or so. if it isa perforance fi car like a turbo honda or something.

If you are losing coolant I would say headgasket or like someone was saying sunk sleeve. Pull off your oil cap and look for any milky residue on the inside of the cap. If there is a residue then you are getting coolant in with your oil.
