Default Overheating Issues w. Darton Sleeves and/or Block Guards

Guys, I'm new here so bear with me. I did a search and didn't find much on this board, but I read somewhere that running Darton sleeves (with the built in a block guard) or having a block guard cause over-heating issues on the street, because:

1. the water jacket pathway is furher restricted and not as much water flows through.
2. the iron sleeves retain a lot more heat then the aluminum ones do.

my question is how valid is this? how do you fix this problem? Would an upgraded radiator and fan be a solution to this problem? Is anybody running sleeve or a block guard and having a problem with heat issues?

I run an str block guard with stock sleeves and stock radiator, no overheating problems at all. 15k on the setup

Darton sleeves here no overheating issues at all, always at a little over 1/4 on the coolant gauge no matter what.

Look elsewhere for your problem. Overheating not caused by iron sleeves. Stock sleeves are not aluminum either.
Closing the deck does hinder water flow but not to the point of chronic oc=verheating
