Installing Piston Pins
I am trying to put the pistons pins in but don't know how to get the little circular springs in that keeps the pins from coming out? Have anyone ever done this? Pics??? The type if pistions are Wiseco H22 pistons. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
You just put one end in, then work in a circle, working the clip in. It shouldn't be that hard - when you get towards the end, use needle nose pliers the pop it in.
make sure the 2 indentations on the rod journal are on the exhaust side of the psiton with the smaller valve reliefs. Use a small screw driver to give you some leverage to pry it down into place and the push the pin to lock it into place
just squeeze them with your fingers then. Don't use pliers because if you bend them too much, they will stay bent and won't hold. Aim the gap in the C toward the top of the piston. Use a small flat bladed screw driver to help you pop them in place.
