Default Putting in the Retainer Clip for the Piston?

I'm having trouble putting in the retainer clips (JE Pistons) for the piston to hold the pin in place. Any tricks?

good job, a good tool to use is a dental tool pick, get the straight, the 45, and the 90deg ones.

I found the trick, put one of the clip ends into the groove (JE Piston) then push in the middle of the clip and that'll force most of the clip into the groove. Then push the other end in.
