swap problem?
hey i need info on the jdm b16 throttlebody, it has 3 airpipes leading out of it, don't know where they connect to, my friend is helping me do it and he has a jdm gsr in his coupe...told me his is different from mine...so info and help would be great.
no one knows what it is....has anyone encounter this problem before? I thinking someone should, because everybody got or done a motor swap before right?
What car is this in? And is this a 2nd gen B16 TB?
Info please.
And are you referring to the top part of it or all around?
Pictures and info would be helpful.

its not the evap canister, map sensor, tps sensor. its not electrical, its for the air or something. I haven't seen it myself, because the motor is in merced and i'm in sacramento. I'm putting it in a 95 hatch si...the motor is a jdm 1st series b16.
the 1st gen B16 TB is definitely wierd. the MAP sensors have vacuum lines coming off of it.
What ECU you using and I'm assuming you're throwing this onto the D16Z6?

yeah, its going to replace the d16z....i'm going to use the p28 ecu chipped...vtec@ 4700 and rev@10000. I also have a jdm p30 and will use both. Plus i have a vafc too. So what is wrong with the tb. What do i need to do?
1st gen b16 is meant for obd0. unless you really want to use it, allyou need is the MAP (a vacuum line going to the MAP sensor instead of mounted on top), TPS and evap canistor going to it. all the rest of 'em need to be capped off.
other wise I would go with an ITR TB.

yeah, thats what my friend is saying...that i won't need them...like you said cap them off. also i've been trying to look for the itr tb...but it hella expensive....i might just bore the b16 out to itr specs...or higher. Will let you know whats up after i do the swap.
