Default pr3 for lsvtec can't understand the comp. ratio

according to the compression calc on c-speed:
lsvtec w/ b16 head, b18a block, b16 pr3 pistons = 11.64:1
is this good or bad?
is it better to use GSR pistons, rods, cams, IM, etc or B16 stuff? Don't say ITR/CTR coz thats gonna break the bank.

be sure to get an VAFC or an SMC cause if you use the pr3 or the pw0 ecu you lean out the engine cause those maps are set up for 1.6 not 1.8s

I run the setup you just mentioned. I cannot tell you the exact compression ratio but its probably a tad bit over 11 to 1. If detonation is your concern, i run this setup using 91 octane, 20degrees timing, just a fuel pressure regulator, and 6 heat range plugs.

I even ran this setup on 91 octane and a 40-50 shot n20 and ran a 12.1. Only thing i ddi was back the timing back to stock and ran a 7 range spark plug. O yeah and a fuel pump.

Seriously? I want to see some slipd on this. Not to flame or anything, but that's pretty quick for a "very" streetable car. I've seen turbo'd civic's with B-series barely get that kind of time. Maybe the driver's in my area just suck that bad.

How is this not believeable? I remember sometime back another individual had a realtively similar setup running 13.3 on street tires.

Sorry i do not have a scanner but here is the info copied from multiple runs:

60 ft: 1.752 1.756 1.704 1.775 1.719
330ft: 5.236 5.174 4.972 5.099 5.042
1/8 8.180 8.113 7.710 7.863 7.850
MPH: 82.41 83.05 88.447 88.035 85.500
1000: 10.757 10.697 00.00 00.0 0.00
1/4: 12.965 12.926 12.117 12.307 12.399
MPH 101.59 101.78 109.611 109.710 106.170

Is this enough proof? Obviously you must be one of the many who believe strapping a turbo to any b series motor will make you fly like superman. I see plenty of b-series hatches roaming around that cant even break 13s on street tires, let alone slicks.

Heck I am not even gonna state what my friends and I have accomplished with stock b series motors and turbo, as you once again will think its impossible.

I originally commented on the subject to give insight to a setup I personally have run with success. It is simple, quick, reliable, and I did not even have to tune the vehicle on a dyno.
