Default Fair Price for D15B2 engine?

A friend of mine wants to buy the D15B2 engine that came out of my 1991 Honda Civic Wagon. It has 140,145 miles on it and the compression was still reasonable. What would be a fair price? What on-line sites could I look at for comparision pricing?
Thanks,
Jane

I'll give you $100 for it. Is this with-out tranny and everything? Does it burn oil. Oh crap I can't PM you yet.

The tranny is still in my car along with the wiring harness. The ECU is available to go with the D15B2 engine. The reason why it was taken out of my car is that I put in a D16Z6 and bumped the HP by 60% for the Open Road Racing that I do. The D15B2 was working fine when it was taken out, and did not burn oil. However, unless you live in the SF Bay Area and are willing to come pick it up you are out of luck. I'm not shipping it.

Have you ever tried lifting an engine? Have you any clue how much they weigh? It took three of us to lift it into the back of my wagon and two of us to get it out onto the ground in my storeage space. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to move by myself, that is why I can't / won't be shipping it anywhere.

Are you talking the longblock or a motor and tranny together? I've bear hugged D longblocks and moved them place to place and I'm far from what I consider to be a very strong person

I hear that. I just shipped a D series shortblock about 4 days ago.

UPS screwed the thing up (crank pulley and such) and demolished the damn box.

But that's not my point.

Just the engine, not the tranny. And no, I'm not very strong either!
