I am debating between a gsr or a Ls, I would probably supercharge either one, but just wondering if the difference will be that big. Because I heard that if you supercharge, vtec isnt that useful anymore, so why spend the extra $1500?

 

VTEC is best to the average guy with an average setup.. Most people are driving around for 1 to 2yrs without the s/c or turbo or whatever else is planned, and a gsr is good in this instance, since u won't need to get a gsr+ trans, i/h/e just to be competitive with a b16 or gsr..

Bottomline is that the both setups are equally good for any type of plans where mods do not only include bolt-ons and a supercharger.. If motor work is 100% in your plans and not 30%, then the blocks sorta equal out.. Then again, won't u be mad when you learn u can get custom vtec cams made to pull out more gains from an s/c..

if you supply enough fuel when vtec kicks in
it helps. ive asked the same questions.
