i think that the oil pressures sensor is becuse the atts cuts the motor out if you make a corner a to many g's. There is a sensor in the back of the car. The atts is a very expensive part to replace though if your light for the atts came on it will cost you about 850 dollars to fix it.

Did the ATTS light come on alone, or did you get a CEL also?

The above poster is correct. If you take too many hard turns, it will **** off the ATTS unit. Just reset the ECU and pray it doesn't come back.

If it does, that means you malfunctioned the ATTS unit.

BTW, is your car dropped? Slamming the car will burn out the ATTS unit also after a while.

The car is completly stock. Also, I have not put it through that many hard turns. It is very intermittent, only comes on here and there. I also pulled 2 other codes, a "72" which is different tire diameter, which its not. I also pulled a 42, but have no idea how any of these correspond?

Didn't you just buy this car from a jeep dealer?

Seems that you got a 97 SH. That's the first year ATTS came out, along with all the bugs.

So your car is stock, no rims? stock height at even level right?

I would trade it in to avoid further headaches and loss of money, IMO.

Yes, i did just buy this from the Jeep delership, I took it in for service being that it is under warranty, but it does not cover the atts, only "powertrain" engine and tranny. I had the option to trade it in, no questions asked within the first 500 miles, but its over that now. Noting else is wrong with the car, it has been great. It is just the very intermittent atts problem???

Something is faulty w/ the ATTS's wire/sensor. Research on where they're at and troubleshoot it. A helms manual would help.

Don't take it to a dealership, they will straight rip you off.

If worst comes to worst, just disconnect the ATTS.

Yea, I am going to troubleshoot it, just waiting on my helms manual. As for disconnecting it, what is involved in that? can you just pull the fuse??

Yep, pull the ATTS fuse if you've had enough.

or you can just pull the ATTS computer in the passenger footwell. lol whatever floats your boat. I pulled mine. It was functioning perfect but hondata on an OBD1 ECU kinda throws it out the window. When i swap blocks and trannys the beast will be for sale.
