Default CEL Question

I've got a 95 lx, and my engine light came on recently. i pulled the code...O2 sensor. So today i bought a new one and put it in but the light is still on. I dsconnected the battery for a few minutes hoping it would reset itself but the light is still on. Does this computer have to go through a drive cycle before it resets itself. I know some cars reset like every 50 miles or so, i've driven about 25 miles since i put it in, but i dont want to just drive aimlessly, because gas isnt free and the roads are getting slick from the snow. any input would be appreciated.

What code? V-6 or 4 banger?
Did the CEL come back on right away?
You did the right thing resetting the ECU.
You might wind up getting a mutimeter and checking for power at the sensor.
Just for grins and giggles, what kind of O2 sensor did you put in it?

its a 4 banger, i dont remember what the code was exactly, but i remember searching and finding that it was the o2 sensor. The light did come back on right away...like a slap in the face. I bought a bosch sensor becaue i work at advance auto for the 2 weeks i'm home every year so i was able to get it pretty cheap. its dark out and about 12 degrees so i'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to check for power.

only 12 degrees? Dude ya got no sense of adventure!! LOL
I'll edit in some more info for ya in a little while, gotta get it all together.

Edit; This info in the link should get you started on the right path.
I'm guessing it was code 41 because you said the light came back on right away.

On my 96 lx, I have to pull the battery for ~10 minutes to clear codes.
