D16A7 upgrades and shuttle body pannels
Hi,
im currently fully restoring a bit rusty civic shuttle '91 4wd.
im not nearly done but its going somewhere.. i was thinking of boosting the engine later.. nothing crazy it has 117hp now i was thinking about 200-300max on a small turbo... now ive seen some threads using the D16A6 that is the same as D16A7 just mine is without catalytic converter, pushing 6psi on smaller turbo all stock iternals and about 200ish HP.
But im looking for a long lasting engine build that isnt under huge stress while boosting it.
As my engine is non VTEC i had an idea of swaping a head with a VTEC one. So what head can be used so the belt fits normally.
And what kind of aftermarket internals should i buy to hold that kind of power (stock head or for any other VTEC head that fits on). And i dont need internals that really hold like 800hp as im on budget. If you have any links post them here.
Next i need some body pannels on both back sides of the quarter pannel around the tires and both left and right rocker pannels.
Items need to be from within the EU as import fees are really high if i order parts from outside of EU.
That would be mostly it for now.

Hi. You have nice plans, but you can forget it if you're on budget.
Every NA engine will be at some kind of stress while is boostet, at least because of temperature.
I wouldn't recommend you spending all that money into first solo build.
And from what EU country you are?

I see, even if you upgrade the cooling system so a thicker radiators and performance fluids? My idea was firstly to go mostly ebay stuff... ive seen alot of builds running fine if you get the right ebay parts.. even looking at boosted boiz civic running high boost for 3years without problems..
Im not looking for extreme power.. i even found a few threads where on stock internals this engine runs fine about 200ish HP.. but im not there yet just getting ideas now and planning things out..
