Mini Me questions
I just recently purchased a 94 civic dx with the d15b7. I've been looking into doing the whole mini me thing with the engine. What heads are compatible on my engine? I want to get a hold of a vtech head if possible. I'm assuming there are no kits for this, I just need to go find myself a parts engine from another car right?
I know i need the head for sure, intake and throttle body would be good too right?

Re: Mini Me questions
Why not swap a whole D16Z6?
I read the swap thread and the OP only mentions the gains from the Z6 head. Doesn't mention anything like fuel effiency.
Would do this mini me if I knew the swap gave me Z6 power and B7 fuel efficiency.

Re: Mini Me questions
Because a head is cheaper than an entire engine, and its a cool swap. Gives you z6 power, with z6 fuel efficiency, don't get greedy

Re: Mini Me questions
Yeah, I for sure want to do a VTEC head swap.
Fuel efficency doesn't really matter, but the cost does!
Does anyone know where i can get a hold of a z6 head to do the swap? Am I suck with just finding a parts car or what?
Thanks for the help guys!

Re: Mini Me questions
you can use either a z6 or a y8 head, you can find them complete on craigslist for around 100 bucks, plus your going to want to buy a NEW timing belt for the motor you got the head from

Re: Mini Me questions
alright, well I'm going to do some shopping on craigslist and see what i can find. My last concern was about the intake manifold and throttle body, can I use my stock intake and throttle body or do I need to get the z6 or y8 parts?
Also, will my header from my d15 bolt on or do i need to purchase another one?
Thanks guys!

Re: Mini Me questions
theres write ups on this.....but you can use your stock parts in most cases with the different head, keeps your sensors and everything in your factory locations
