a vtec head is a person that thinks about his car all day, every day. Its more of a lifestyle than a hobby.

hehehe just messin

A vtec head is a head from an engine that utilizes vtec. instead of most engines having one cam profile, a vtec head uses cams that have two profiles. This helps you get better gas mileage, and higher horsepower at the same time.

You really do have a lot to learn about engines. You should do some research. It doesnt even matter what kind of engine you research, just as long as you get a better understanding. Ask your dad (or mom), see if (s)he can help. If you ask these kinds of basic questions on here, a lot of people will get mad and just say things you do not want to hear.

So do us all a favor and do some basic rsearch on how an engine works. You'll thank me later!!

Isn't that what he is doing by asking the question in this forum? Doesn't the subtitle below the Integra forum link say...

Discuss Integra basics or hardcore peformance?

Don't worry I am sure you will thank me later, right?

I agree with 2001 Integra GSR, chill out Grandprix. That is what this forum is for to learn. We all crawl before we walk. People on this forum only get upset when questions are constantly repeated or if someone talks like they know something when they don't, not the fact that they are rookie questions.

FlipboiGSR - if you do want to do some reading up on the working of engines a good site for this is:
http://www.howstuffworks.com/sc-engines-automotive.htm

you should use the search function for questions like "which is better header A or B

Your gsr already has a vtec head. You'll see on your engine it says DOHC(dual over head cam) VTEC.
