Error 20, 21 and 43 codes, help
Hi, I am getting all these codes at once. My civic has MiniMe done to it and p30 ECU, can you guys help me find what's causing these codes to appear? I am new with civics and just arecently bought it. At first the check engine light would go away if I turned off the engine at start it back up for a long time but now the light pops back after a couple of minutes. The car runs fine, I know that code 21 is realted to vtec solenoid but my vtec works fine and overall car runs good, maybe fuel consumption is a bit higher thank I think it should be but it is programmed for this engine, at least that's what the last owner said so not sure if it's because it is programmed that way or error 43 has to do something with it. Also, don't really know about how much fuel it should eat but I was expecting it to be a bit lower, don't know if this info is good about the fuel but I go through quarter of a tank in 60+ kilometers while driving in city a bit and mostly out of city. Anyway, I have basic knowledge about engines but when it comes to wiring its low, so, I need your help about what may be causing these error codes. Thank you in advance!

Per this thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...codes-2355018/
Code 20 Electric load detector
Code 21 V-TEC control solenoid
Code 43 Fuel supply system
Per this thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...upply-2763519/
Your code 43 could be related to a vacuum leak - that would certainly explain poor fuel economy.
More information about the car would be very helpful. How is the wiring modified? Exactly what engine setup do you have?

I will check around for vacuum leaks and wiring today. Also, going to reply with what engine is there, I can't exactly remember the full engine type now. Going to reply later as it is around 9 AM where I live right now.

My engine is D15B2, D16Z6 head, seems like vacuum is connected everywhere but I found that pressure regulator hose is slightly cracked right where it goes into regulator, so it might be causing a leak.

Making sure lines are connected doesn't tell you that much, though a smaller leak would not explain your fuel economy. I would definitely replace the line to the regulator.

If you clear the codes by resetting the ECU, do all codes return?

I have reset the ECU and code 21 went away but code 20 and 43 still there. As far as I know my civic doesn't even have electronic load detector for code 20, I checked both fuse boxes, one under the hood and one under steering wheel and there is no such thing, it was converted to obd1 and I am not sure what previous owner did to pass through that and for code 43 I am suspecting a bad oxygen sensor because other fuel issues doesn't seem to be there, car idles fine, runs and drives without any issues. Vacuum is not leaking, I would have a rough or increased idle rpm but its all good. Replaced cracked vacuum hose too. And by the way, my fuel needle goes to the middle from nearly red mark when I fill 9 litres of fuel so I have exagerated my fuel consumption, now its time to fill up again so it went through close to 9 litres for 100km.

SOLVED ITSELF, I changed o2 sensor, the code went away after couple days, don't know if it had effect but its just gone now, thanks to everyone
