Default vtec not working !!

i just put in a jdm d15b in my 93 ex coupe and and after the swap was done i took it for a test drive and vtec did not work.. its supposed to engage at 5500 rpm.. and it never did anything.. i have the same p28 ecu.. and with the d16z6 that i had b4 vtec would kick in at 4500 rpm. and i changed to vtec solenoid from the d16 to the d15 and still nothing.. what can it be..??????

ummm, you cant really feel vtec on a SOHC, you can hear it with an exhaust/intake, but you cant really feel it.

Maybe you should test the solenoid and make sure that it is working. Also, make sure that your oil pressure/oil level is enough. Also make sure that the car is at N.O.T. since it needs to be in order for vtec to engage.

You can read many FAQ's here. They are very helpful and can answer many of the questions that you may have. Also, the Search function is very useful, especially when you archive your search.

You will learn that by searching, you will be posting very few questions, as almost any question you have will probably be answered by searching/the FAQ.

The JDM D15B vtec engine has a much larger low cam profile then the other sohc vtec engines so when it crosses over to high cam you cant really tell all that much.
