vtec isnt working
so i have a lsvtec but the vtec isnt working anymore and now its alot more sluggish tourqe wise first gear is really slow but it picks up speed then the vtec wont engage its got oil there is no check engine light so i dont thin its the ecu so any ideas?

clean your vtec solenoid, or clean spray your ish with brake cleaner to remove the dirt and see if that helps in any way mayb.

Maybe your vtec solenoid screen is dirty

That sounds like more than a vtec solenoid issue if it is down on power throughout the whole rev range. What about timing? Did you check base distributor timing with a timing light? If cleaning the solenoid does not fix all your issues, this would be where I would check next.
