Default TPS Issue. Help is greatly appreciated.

There is a code 7 shooting at my face. P08 ECU. JDM D15B VTEC.

I checked the tps voltages and I am getting 0.01-0.02V no throttle and about 3.4V @ WOT.

I tried adjusting it but to no avail.

Is my TPS fried? Am I doing the adjusting the wrong way?

I know at no throttle it should be about ~0.5V and at WOT it should be about 4.5V.

HELP AWAY!!

I'd try adjusting it since both are low. Use a dremel and cut slits in the screws holding it in place, so you can use a screwdriver to loosen the screws. Make sure you get a smooth rise in voltage as you turn the throttle rotor.

So..I am guessing VTEC will not engage with out the proper voltage coming from the TPS?

I tried adjusting it but there are barely any changes in voltage.

as long as the oil pressures good, rpms reach the engagment point, and the vss is good i believe it will work.

Yeah but what about the ~3.4V vs the needed ~4.5V, there must be some kind of hindrance to the performance.

If the cel is on then usually vtec wont engage. Also if you have tried adjusting it at a no throttle position and you can't get it to 0.5 volts then its prob bad. Disconnect the plug and see how much power it's sending to the tps.

when you say to no avail do you mean you weren't able to adjust it or the voltage didn't change? Cut slots into the screws with a dremel and then replace them with regular bolts I used allen head. If you adjust it but voltage doesn't change then you need a new tps.

I mean that when I tried to change it it barely moved between 0.01V and 0.02 V.

This may sound stupid, but, am I supposed to adjust with the car running?
