Default TPS Calibration Problems. HELP

Alright, I have an Omni 68mm throttlebody. I put my TPS on it and the lowest reading I can get out of it with my multimeter closed is 1.8 volts. I can take the TPS off the throttlebody probe it with my multimeter and it reads good 0.5 closed and when I sweep the rotor on the TPS to WOT it reads 5 volts as it should. Any clue what is causing this? Why cant I get this thing to read correctly with it mounted to the throttle body. I am making sure the tps pointer lines up in the slot on the throttlebody like it should. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance

I thought of that too. So I tried to set the calibrations with the throttle cable off and the lowest I still get closed is the same 1.8 volts. I ordered a new Omni TPS last night so I am just hoping my current tps is bad. I just don't think it is since I am getting no CEL and I can take it off the Throttlebody and it registers 0 volts and 5 volts at WOT. WEIRD

I don't think so because it idles decent and not to high. Pretty much idles right at 800-850rpm. I would think that the idle would be kinda high if that bolt was adjusted out to much. The only reason I knew something was up because my Smanager showed that there was like 25% throttle applied when I was at idle. I will report back when I receive my new TPS if that fixes my problem. Thanks for response.

There is an idle adjustment screw too. If that's all the way in and the adjustment
Bolt is open to far it would idle right but you wouldn't get the right closed and
Wot readings.

The throttle plate should be open just a **** hair past where it sticks
When it is closed. So check the adjustment on it and see if the tps
Will give you the correct readings then. And then really adjust the
the idle screw where the car idles 700 +- 50rpm.

If that doesn't work its probably the tps... I always
Keep a few extra map and tps sensors around.
There free at junk yards if you can find a car that's
not stripped already. I always grab main relays tps
Map iat coolant temp any sensors that look good
so there's no waiting around for the mail to run...
