I never really understood the purpose of having that metal piece in the rear bumper for other than looks.

you dont honestly expect 400+whp on stock sleeves do you???
if you want it to stay together at close to that HP range AT THE VERY LEAST GET A BLOCK GUARD AND DO A CORRECT INSTALL, or BLOCK STUDS, OR DEVCON THE BLOCK.
thats an expensive sohc turbo project by the way.
and also, whats your ring gap with the vitaras?? how about piston to bore clearance, vitaras are known to be sloppy, unless your machine shop bored them to specs of the vitaras.

all i gotta say is, i got that covered
and bunches of people have made over 400whp on stock sleeves for a dseries
ya its more than i thought, but i got some of the stuff pretty cheap
and i included the price of the shell and motor, some people dont have to buy those

yeah 400whp on stock sleeves for 2 dyno pulls or a few passes at the track, the sleeves just wont stay in place with that amount of boost (the amount required to get to 400whp)
good luck and keep up the progress, atleast someone is doing something, im driving a nissan pickup with 12psi, gotta get another honda.

Re: (schardbody)
bad *** build!!
excellent choice on the vitara and eagle h beam rods!!!!!
lets see how this sucker holds up on stock sleeves at 400 hp..
im sure it will hold up pretty good @ 300+, as long as the tune is good

I had a question. since im using a log mani would my spool time be faster? whats the draw back of that?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Its obviously smaller so you could retain a/c if you had it. It has great spool characteristics but it will restrict somewhat in the top rpms.

Re: (SupraRXZ)
The headlight fitment is terrible, why is that? Did you not bolt it on all the way? There is a DIY here somewhere that tells you how to fix oem fitment. Look in the 1992-2000 civic FAQ thread, its in there.
