sucks, hellla, bad.... You can try rethreading it and find a bolt thatll work with it, but thats alot of research you'll have to do. When I stripped a block, I went and got another bare block and swapped everything over. This time try torquing it to factory spec, and use oil=].

You will need to take the block to a machine shop and have them drill it out and install a insert.
It's a common thing now day's so any good automotive machine shop can do the lob.

Re: tap and die ? (jdmkid_82)
time serts or time inserts are what I had use on a single slam dd. it worked for aslong as i needed and that was it.
on boosted motors you got to worry about the heakifting at high boost levels but i doubt you will have that problem.

Do NOT use a helicoil for this repair. You need to use time-sert, end of discussion....that or you need to rethread the block to accept a single B series stud (which is m11x1.5)

Why are you bumping this, youve been told what to do...there is no magic solution.
Get a time sert insert installed or get a single b series stud and have it rethreaded (which may not be possible, depending on the damage)
