I believe everything will plug up on the engine with some editing for a couple plugs. Also, you will need a conversion harness to run a OBD2 ecu. Good luck.

You have a couple of options from easy to hard:
Option 1: Use a 94up GSR engine harness. You'll still need to run wiring for knock, VTEC and IAB's from the tower harness to the ECU.
Option 2: You'll need a P72 OBD1 ECU if you want to keep the GSR intake manifold or you can change over to a Skunk2 type manifold and eliminate the secondaries and you can run a P30 or P28 chipped. However you will need to do a few things:
1. Run wiring for VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, knock sensor and IAB's (unless you run a P28 and you won't need the wiring for knock sensor or IABs)
2. Run 3 additional wires for your O2 as the CX only come standard with a one wire.
3. You are going to have an additional sensor near the crank pulley, its the CKF it doesn't need to be plugged in.
4. Your distributor won't plug in you can either repin the plug for OBD1 with the distributor plug that is on your CX or get an OBD1-OBD2b distributor adaptor or get an OBD1 distributor for a B16A, B17A or B18C1.
5. For your injectors they won't plug right in you'll need to either use OBD1 injectors (not your CX ones though) or use the injector plugs that hopefully come with your new engine or cut off the tab on the OBD2 injectors and the OBD1 plug will plug in
6. Also for the alternator you can either swap plugs or do what the picture shows below.

I'd highly recommend keeping it OBD1 or OBD2a if possible and legal. The OBD2b GSR ECU has an immobilizer that's fairly difficult to get around without a constant CEL.
If you decide to go that route, Katman from FFSquad offers a GSR immobilizer removal service. Without it, you'll never get a 2b GSR ECU to pass inspection.
So I think the easiest way is to use an OBD1 gsr engine harness and ECU, then add the extra that you need.

Re: swaping 01 b18c1 into 94 cx...help!
im not trying to hijack this thread but im going threw the same issues lol except mine has already been swapped before I got it and was running and driving I was told any way. I got a 92 civic hatch with a 95 teg b18c1 with what I was told a b18c1 gsr vtec head and a b16 trans. the ecu is I believe a chipped p28. all the wires are all ready converted but i want to double check everything before I start it and was wondering if anyone had a picture diagram like the one above for my application?
the motor is 0bd1
the other thing is I dont know if this motor requires a knock sensor or not?
the only sensor i see on the back of the block is a little 1 wire sensor next to the oil filter? and I dont see anymore plugs back there for any more sensors if there is indeed more supposed to be back there.
this is my first build so I dont want to mess anything up after dumping a butt load of money in it
pm me if you want, please help
thanks ahead
