Ok ive got a 97 y7 bottom end with a 96 y8 head. The problem is that ive got a bad sputtering problem from take off to about 4k rpm's then it clears up and goes away all the way through vtec. Ive got 2 cel's, 2nd o2 sensor and intake air temp sensor. I'm using the y7 timing belt still and I belive that I have the timing right. I just put new plugs/wires in it. And im using a y8 harness with the stock p2p ecu. The motor ran fine as a bone stock y7 and now im ready to give up. Whats my problem any idea's.

I think you should carefully recheck the mechanical timing of the cam and crank.
