shift linkage trans seal replacment. help
hi, my trans i leaking out of the oil seal around the shift linkage, first off, i can't find a part number on hondaautomotiveparts.com, all i could find was the dust boot, its a b18c btw. and second is it even replaceable without pulling and disassembling the trans? thanks in advance

Yes you could just pull it out if you have the right tools, for finding the part just go to a Acura dealer ship and they will have a computer that got all the **** and part number for the tranny.

I've replaced that seal a number of times.
It's pretty easy, just take the boot off, remove the retaining clip and bitch pin, then pull the old seal out with vise grips. That's what I used at least. Then the new seal just slides right in.
It only takes a few minutes. Your Honda/Acura dealer should be able to hook you up with the correct seal, my local dealership always has them in stock.
