Rear speaker question for Hatches!!
I have an EK hatch, i installed alpine 6x9s. the speaker goes in the speaker hole fine but when i tried screwing them in the screw holes in the rear deck were way too big. the holes are almost half an inch big...and the holes in the actual speaker couldn't accomdate screws that big.

if the holes are too big just try to fill them up with something, or you could put a thin piece of wood in between the speaker and where it mounts by glue or screws( thats what i did)... i dont know if that made any sence im kinda tired

You need a U-shaped tinnerman nut. You can find them at some Home Hardware stores, or at a Canadian Tire in the little racks in the automotive section.
For a picture of what it looks like, go to http://www.mcmaster.com and type in tinnerman nut

Maybe the plastic spacers that the screws are supposed to go through fell off? When I replaced my speakers, there were some kind of plastic spacers where the screws go through. That sounded redundant, but hopefully it helps.
