quick eg ecu question
alright i have a d15b7 which i believe is supposed to come with the p06 ecu. Correct me if im wrong. i have p05 ecu. would this in any way effect the way my motor runs? the p05 came with the d15b8 which originally was in my car

Re: quick eg ecu question
Yes it will effect it. The P05 is meant to run a 70hp 8-valve engine, compared to the 100 something hp 16-valve engine you have in there now. So your fuel and timing maps are going to be off.

Re: quick eg ecu question
what are the possible side effect of running a p05 instead of the correct p06. i bought a p06 off of a guy (Big J Jdm) and he said it was manual. it wasnt. would it be better to run the p06 or p05? my car runs alot better with the p05. and the p06 is throwing a lock up selinoid cel. but i believe that becuase i dont have an auto

The auto ECU can be converted. If takes all of 2 minutes if you have a soldering iron. One resistor is removed, another is replaced with a 0ohm resistor.
