I DON"T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!!! while you're cruisin down the street about to turn, put it in neutral and turn off the car. Your power-steering will not work, so you can figure it out for yourself what it feels like...

you won't notice much of a difference when the car is moving. people remove it to get rid of unwanted weight and to clear the engine bay out some more. it's also said that you gain some horsepower but i'm sure it's nominal. just make sure you get a manual rack.

the steering rack from a non power-steering car. i've heard that you can wear something down on your power steering rack if you take out the power steering. and if you don't know what a rack is then go to http://www.howstuffworks.com and search rack and pinion.

Don't take this for absolute truth, but I've HEARD something about a P/S rack can be used without p/s by looping the line back on itself or something...?

The big downside to this option is that the manual racks need more turns of the wheel from lock to lock. This is great in a semi but sucks in a car that is supposed to be fun to drive.
2) Loop the lines. This can be done different ways or even just have them capped off, but the method that's the easiest on the rack and your arms is to loop it all with an overflow tank of sorts. Basically fluid is left in the rack to keep things moving smoothly, and the reservoir is used to allow fluid/air to move freely so the pressure doesn't make it difficult to turn the wheel. HT member Padawan has been selling these kits for a while and I've yet to hear of a dissatisfied customer. The only reason I haven't bought his kit yet is because he won't ship to Canada, as you can see near the end of his thread:

Its not bad i have 95 hb and its ok when ur moving but when u are idle its stiffer. U get used to it... i drive mine like nothing, but if someone else tries to drive they have trouble but it might just be my muscles. The key to it it accelerate as u turn makes it 100% easier

parking lots, parallel parking, and quick maneuvers at slow speeds will be your worst enemy. i got use to it, but i still can't parallel w/o power steering, it takes like 5 min rofl
