Default power steering ?

I have a question for those that removed their power steering out of there car, does the steering wheel vibrate and shake ALOT more on bumbs, then it did with power steering on it? becasue my buddy removed his on his 92 Lx and his used to shake like a mother ****** on bumbs (and i'm not talking about a bad wheel balance), but I didn't drive it before he removed it so i wasn't sure if it was becasue of a messed up suspension or because he removed the power steering. He also only drove around without power steeering for like 6 months until his girl totalled his car , so I also wanna now did anyone's steering rack break from driving around without the assist of the power steering pump???????

im going to guess and say that he removed the p/s rack and put a manual one in, using the p/s bracket which is like twice as big as the manual one, allowing the rack to bounce around. Just my thought

no, he didn't put a manual rack in there. He just wanted to get rid of the weight, so he threw out the p/s and a/c. I now alot of people out there take out there p/s, I just wanted to now besides the extra effort to steer are there any other bad effects of removing the P/S system.

No ps here. After a year I noticed the wheel tends to "follow" the road. Im not sure if it has to do with eliminating ps or if its my shitty kuhmo 712's. 712's are known to do this too. I also noticed I got bigger arms.

issues with steering wheel shaking and bivrating has to do with suspension not with the rack at all. if your friend had gotten a tire rotaion and an alignment he wouldnt have any issues whatsoever.

ive had my ps removed for some time now, its a bit more effort steering but only when the car is not moving. i have the looped rack lines with the breather system. frees up some power and gives you a more responsive steering method.
