Default Leakdown test results

Timing belt broke at idle due to a rag getting sucked into the cam gear and jamming (yea i know it was stupid but i need to know how stupid)
Leakdown Test Results
1-76%
2-66%
3-10%
4-86%

Ok i have the snap-on leakdown tester, the way i did it was hooked up the air line to the inlet hose and got the gauge to zero %(100psi) then hooked up the outlet hose to the hose in the spark plug hole and watched the gauge...............someone please tell me i have royally messed up

How exactly is a leak down test meassured? Like is high % good or low %?

yea..........to my knowledge the valves were closed ................the timing belt is not on at this time so i am just rotating the crank and cams separately

put the belt on (the right way)

but it looks like you bent and possibly dropped some valves.

and you're positive you had the piston at TDC for the particular cylinder?

Where was the air escaping....out the intake, out the exhaust, into coolant or into crank case?

i am not positive where the leakage was occuring which tells me that i did something wrong and when the belt broke i heard no valve collision with the pistons another reason for me to believe i fucked up

hey man if ur on the computer still and can get on aol that would be great i really need some help with this **** i have a turbo kit on the car now waiting for this **** to be worked out so it can be tuned

when you do a leakdown test try to listen where the air is coming out from. Usually you can tell.

well slapped on a new head today...........gotta love a 100 dollar complete head (try that with a vtec motor)...........the old one was fucked new head yielded 4% leakage across the board

boosting this weekend
