Default Just curious if no oil pressure sending unit affects anything...

I took my oil sending unit out to cut out the fittings to leak on the back of my block. No oil light, no CEL, but i'm reading in the "VTEC not working" threads about the oil sending unit needed for VTEC engagement. I'm running a single cam, so VTEC isn't noticeable, i'd assume it's working fine, like i said, no CEL.

I'll add the .001% to make it 100%. You don't need it. Get an oil pressure gauge eventually.(my suggestion)

I have a gauge, that's why i removed it, i couldn't get it to seal with the sending unit, the T for the gauge, and the feed to my turbo. I removed it, no more leaks.

the VTEC system has its own oil pressure sensor next to the VTEC solinoid. the one you used that is next to the oil filter is only for the oh **** light.
